Cora & Avery's Fire Fund
God is amazing even in the worst circumstances! Cora and Avery Crump's apartment burned down this morning on March 15th. Avery was at work and the apartment fire alarm did not work, but a caring neighbor beat on the door until Cora woke up and literally saved her life. Cora and the dog Enzo made it out, but their cat was hiding so she left the patio door open to give him a chance to escape. Amazingly the cat clawed through the screen door to safety. Another small miracle was that the firemen found her pet fish floating in a bowl full of ceiling insulation. He put it in a bowl with fresh water and gave it back to Cora alive!
Although Cora was able to grab their backpacks and IDs, the apartment and all of its contents were a total loss, and they did not have rental insurance. As you can imagine, just making ends meet as a young college couple has been a task. We are so thankful that no one was injured, but they are currently without any necessities including clothes and shoes.
Any help would be greatly appreciated and will go directly to support the Crump family. Thank you for your help during this difficult time and God bless.
