Cuts, Care & Connection: A Sensory-Friendly Family Wellness Event

Our Mission

A simple haircut can be a major hurdle for neurodivergent children and their families. Cuts, Care & Connection is a community-based gathering hosted by Nabors Cut, in partnership with HealthEQ Solutions’ Nurtured Paths initiative. We are transforming the traditional barbershop experience into a low-stress, judgment-free environment designed to support the unique sensory needs of our youth.

What We Are Providing

This event is more than just a haircut—it is a holistic wellness hub for the whole family providing:

• Sensory-Friendly Haircuts: Professional grooming tailored for children with sensory processing challenges.
• Children’s Calm & Create Corner: An engagement space featuring art and hands-on sensory stations.
• Expert Support: On-site access to occupational therapists, behavior specialists, and maternal/child health consultants to help families navigate developmental milestones.
• Essential Resources: Culturally relevant early childhood materials, information on programs like Help Me Grow MN, and concrete winter stability supports.
• Nourishment: Free snacks, refreshments, and meals for participating households.

Together with the MN Department of Children, Youth, and Families, we are working to reduce stigma and increase access to vital developmental resources in a trusted, culturally grounded setting.
