Dale Needs Surgery
Dale, a cattle dog mix, was playing fetch a few months ago and fell on his arm. He was diagnosed with hyperextension of the carpal joint. After multiple vet visits, we decided to try physical therapy to help decrease his symptoms. Unfortunately, the symptoms continued to progress and his hypertension got worse. Our only option now is the arthrodesis surgery to fuse the carpal joint.
I am a full-time nursing student struggling to make ends meet. I have maxed out my student loans and drained my savings account in order to may for his medical treatment up until this point. Prior to his injury, Dale had an active lifestyle and was running around outside constantly. Since the injury, he has been confined to a kennel and is only allowed out on short lease walks to keep him from re-injuring his carpal joint. This surgery would give him the ability to have an active life style again and improve his quality of life.
