The profile picture is of my son, Dante. In December 2020, he was in a tragic car accident on his way to work through no fault of his own. It is amazing that he survived, but he did suffer a severe traumatic brain injury which left him in a coma for months. He spent the next 9 months in ICU and rehab hospitals. It took him months to be able to talk and use his right side. His left side is still affected, so he is in a wheelchair and going through constant physical therapy. He still has a long way to go as there are many other complications.
As you can imagine, this has been a very trying and expensive 18 months for my family and me. Unfortunately for me, I am in California while he is living with his mom in Idaho. Although we video chat daily, he relies on me and my monthly visits. However, I am at the end of my resources to be able to visit him. I'd hate for finances to get in the way of spending critical time with my son.
I HATE to ask for money, but am swallowing my pride to rely on the generosity of family and strangers to be able to continue my visits, as they are precious to both him and me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
