This is Dennis Beardsley…I’ve been letting him stay in my house for a couple weeks now. He was sleeping on the porch of an abandoned house. He lost his job a few months ago and could not afford his apartment any longer. I met him at NA & AA meetings & got to know him pretty well. I took him shopping for clothes & food and have been trying to help him get back in touch with his Sister who lives in California….but no luck yet. 

He’s a good person & is not violent. He is not on drugs and no longer drinks alcohol since hanging out w/ me. I thought I would be able to get him into a sober living house by now but haven’t been able to find him a place. 

The bad news is….I’m going to have to drop him back off at this abandoned house in the next day or two without financial help. I have 3 young children & my ex-wife doesn’t feel comfortable bringing them over anymore…and I cant blame her for that. I miss my kids but also want to help him out. If anyone can donate it’s much appreciated. To get into the sober living program in Mufreesboro called “ Threshold” it’s $200 for the application fee & $200 up front for rent. I will drive him to Mufreesboro myself & once there they will find him a job.
