My name is Rayan, and I’m a dad from Redondo Beach, California, fighting every day to stay strong for my two precious young girls while on dialysis.

Life changed dramatically when I was diagnosed with end-stage kidney disease. Now I spend many hours each week at dialysis sessions just to keep going. The treatments are exhausting — they drain my energy and make it incredibly hard to work full-time or provide for my family the way I used to. Medicare covers a large portion (80%) of the dialysis itself, but I’m still responsible for the remaining 20% coinsurance, plus medications, frequent lab work, transportation to and from treatments, and all the other costs that add up quickly. On top of that, the lost wages from missing work and the daily strain on our household have created a big financial gap.

My two little girls are my everything. They depend on me, and I’m determined to be there for them — to take them to school, help with homework, and give them the stable, loving childhood every child deserves. Right now, the mounting medical and living expenses are making that harder than ever. I’ve cut back everywhere possible, applied for every assistance program I qualify for, and pushed through the fatigue, but we still need real help to bridge this gap and avoid falling further behind on bills.

Here’s exactly where the $60,000 will go:

• Remaining dialysis coinsurance, medications, and related medical costs
• Transportation and home support during treatment days
• Back rent/utilities and essential family living expenses while I recover strength
• A buffer to stabilize our household so I can focus on my health and being present for my daughters
