Diana Berry Funeral Fund
Diana is the love of my life. We were childhood sweethearts and we spent our lives together, I cannot express in words the agony of my soul of living on without her. She is so much more than a mother, my best friend, and my wife...to say that she is my world does not come close to the reality of her presence in my life.
All through the Vietnam era when I served in the Marines, and afterward as I worked, we built a simple, but loving life together. We never had much...no riches...no fame...no big home...no fancy cars...but we had each other...and that was enough. She was my rock when I suffered a near-fatal heart attack in 2004. She stood by my side and helped me back to health. During the last years of her life she has suffered from Alzheimer's, and although others said to put her in a home because of the difficulty and stress it would put on me and endanger my own life, I refused to abandon her and not stand by her side in her time of need and take care of her like she did for me.
We live on disabilty income and don't have much...but we didn't need much...just each other. Now, I'm in a position where I can't even afford a proper funeral for her, especially with the medical bills that have accrued. I would like to do for her in death what I couldn't do for her in life...give her something beautiful...a funeral and gravesite where we can both be laid side-by-side like we were in life. I don't need much...just a dollar or two from some compassionate people would help me to give her this final gift. I have nothing to give you except my gratitude for your gift. I love you Honey, and we'll be together in heaven.
