Disabled mom needs help!
My friend Jade is a disabled mom in a wheelchair who has a baby. I am her caregiver. They recently had to flee a domestic violence situation and lost everything. We have been self-quarantining in a hotel room due to the Coronavirus pandemic but are almost completely out of resources. Jade has found an apartment that is available after July 15th. The lease is already signed and the deposit is taken care of. The apartment is completely unfurnished but someone was kind enough to donate a King Sized bed.
We need funds to relocate to the new apartment, legal fees for a lawyer to help sort out things for her family, household supplies, furniture, a wheelchair accessible crib, a motorized scooter to replace the one destroyed in the old place, and for supplies for her and the baby. More specifically for the household, King Sized bedding, pillows, blankets, bath towels and washcloths, pots and pans, dishes and other kitchen supplies and staples, and cleaning supplies to sanitize the new apartment.
For the baby some top priority items needed are a height-adjustable high chair, a height-adjustable changing table, baby blankets, a baby humidifier, blackout curtains for the windows, some hooded baby bath towels and washcloths, breast milk storage bags, baby clothes, socks and shoes for size 18 months and up, maternity/nursing clothes size 2x for the Momma, hypoallergenic and chlorine-free Pampers, hypoallergenic and unscented baby wipes. Any help is greatly appreciated.
The top 4 bigger ticket items that are vitally needed for Jade to be able to better care for and transport her baby safely are as follows:
1) Wheelchair accessible crib - https://kmmoderncribs.com ($1,985 + shipping)

2) An enclosed motorized mobility scooter - https://mobilitypluspro2.com/product/enclosed-heated-mobility-scooter-e-pod-copy-2 ($5,790 includes the shipping).

3) A height-adustable changing table/care station - https://max-ability.com/product/pressalit-care-wall-mount-daycare-changing-station/?c=aacf2d960ac3 - ($8263.00 plus shipping)

Jade has recently started a blog, called Yummy Mommy, that will be about how to how they manage to maintain a “Yummy” life under any circumstances, and about life's ups and downs as a single parent in a wheelchair. They hope this blog will become a resource for other disabled parents, caregivers, and a place for anyone who has an interest in quick, easy budget friendly recipes, advice for dealing with stress, and fun things to do at home with kids. The Yummy Mommy blog can be found at http://www.yummymommyblog.com
