Displaced & Struggling

I hate asking for help. Really, I do. If you know me at all, you know that I'm a strong, independent, "don't need nobody" kind of gal. Currently, I don't have the luxury of independence or stubbornness. I am struggling. Badly. What changed, you may ask? EVERYTHING. Everything has changed. I live in Greeley, Colorado with 4 other adults in a big 6 bedroom house. On Monday night, one of my roommates fired a gun at and shot one of my other roommates, wounding him and sending him to the hospital with 3 gunshot wounds. The police and SWAT team removed everyone from the house so they could discharge teargas & end the madness "peacefully." Not that I ever needed to know this before, but teargas isn't a gas at all. It's a powder or microparticle dust that is weaponized to get into every nook and cranny in order to cause your lungs, nose and eyes to burn and water. They used flashbangs to blow the door off the room the shooter was holed up in and while they directly teargassed our basement, it went throughout the entire house, making it hard to breathe. The shooter ended up taking his own life before SWAT got to him, so our house is unlivable as it stands. There is broken glass everywhere, splinters of wood all over, teargas covering every surface, and the list of things to fix or replace never seems to end. My pets and I were moved into a 2 bed apartment temporarily, but were unable to take much from the house since it's covered in teargas. I've had to purchase an air bed, new bedding, towels, dog beds, paper plates & bowls, food, etc. And it doesn't stop there. I have to wash every soft article I own before it can be worn/used again, but I can't use the washer & dryer in my house until it's cleaned. Rent was due on 10/1, but the shooter nor the victim had the money then and now the shooter never will. He owed me money for utilities too, as all the utilities are in my name, but I know I'll never see that either. The victim who is hospitalized has a long road to recovery, so he's unable to work until then. It's a terrible and messed up situation, so I reached out to local organizations, hoping for assistance, but no one helps with household bills since we weren't in a romantic relationship. My roommates and I got a 10-day notice from our landlord to pay or leave, so I'm focusing all of my energy and free time on that right now. The landlord is the one who put me up in temporary housing, so if we don't pay, I am out on the street. Having said that, any and all help received will go to rent and utility bills that are already past due. I have to get caught up and everything paid so that I can focus on rebuilding and not have to start over from scratch. Please help if you can. Any and all assistance is greatly appreciated!!!
