To his very core, Django's main priority is taking care of the wellbeing and happiness of his family. Whether cuddling up as a makeshift blanket, or protecting their new home, this pup has made it his life's goal to look out for his family. A rescue from Texas, Django had gone from a life with signs of abuse and negligence to being the center of his parents' world, when Liam and Stephanie adopted him about five years ago. 

A presumed seven year old German shepherd mix, Django is a sturdy pup but has had some past health issues, all of which were though to be in the past. However, earlier this weekend, the family was shaken when he refused to eat and quickly developed severe abdominal swelling and extreme lethargy. After an emergency vet visit, with blood work and X-rays, the vets have determined that one of Django's kidneys has ruptured and needs to be removed immediately.

His parents have immediately used any financial credit they have, but this surgery can range from 7K to 10K. With such a rough year already, we are trying to give as much as we can to those in need, and this family, like all families, deserves to be happy and healthy this year.
