COMRADES, please, do not just scroll by! I believe in community, and I believe in the power of mutual aid to transform cities into communities! I am humbling myself, knelt at the collective feet of MY community, and fervently praying for some sort of miracle— even a small one would be amazing right now.

It is not without a lot of thought and hesitation that I created this fundraiser, however at this point I've exhausted all practical/feasible options.

Since my spouse was unjustly terminated from his job in September, after being in a car accident that resulted in him having nerve damage in his arms, hands, and feet. I have been actively seeking employment to no avail. I have submitted literally hundreds of applications (for both remote an in-person positions), and despite seeing ‘NOW HIRING' signs everywhere I go I continue to be told ‘We aren't actively hiring just accepting applications.' I am even signed up through government programs to help me get employment sooner than later but have had no luck.

In the meantime we have had car repair expenses, medical/prescription expenses for myself involving my mental health disorders including appointments and having to pay the thousands of dollars in medical bills from my spouses car accident that insurance would not cover, regular every day cost of living expenses such as rent, continuing to pile up. As well as having to continue providing for our pets. Our dog Leo who is my emotional support registered service animal and our sweet kitten Squirt who is currently suffering an ear infection as we rescued her from someone who did not properly care for her.

At this time, we have been given eviction papers and only have a few days left before no matter what we lose our home, with rent being approximately 2.5 months behind. We've been making partial payments, as much as we can, but every day I'm not working is another day farther behind.

We don't have family to help us unfortunately. It's been just the two of us for years now and this is the first time we have had this happen to us and don't know what else to do. Honestly medically neither of us can survive being completely homeless for very long. And i do not want to part with my pets and i would have to if i cant get enough of the $3,000 i am asking for to help stop the eviction process.

And so, I am turning to my community near and far to humbly request whatever assistance is practical and feasible for individuals in a position to give and help us avoid a complete catastrophe like homelessness.
