Help Dorell Humphrey Recover After a Tragic Accident
Life can change in an instant. Only a few days after experiencing the heartbreaking loss of our father, Dorell Humphrey was traveling to be with family and mourn alongside loved ones when tragedy struck again.
On Sunday, May 24, Dorell was involved in a devastating car accident in Florida. While driving, the vehicle hydroplaned, causing the car to lose control and crash into a tree. What began as a journey to grieve the loss of his father quickly became a fight for his own life and recovery.
As a result of the accident, Dorell suffered a traumatic brain injury, a fractured elbow, and a torn tendon in his neck. His injuries are severe and have dramatically changed his daily life. At this time, he is unable to be left alone and requires 24-hour supervision and assistance. He faces a long road of medical treatment, rehabilitation, therapy, and recovery.
The financial burden is overwhelming. Dorell needs assistance covering hospital expenses, rehabilitation facility costs, ongoing medical care, and other recovery-related expenses. The accident occurred in Florida, but he resides in Georgia which means he will face extended time away from work as he focuses on healing and rebuilding his strength.
Anyone who knows Dorell knows that he is the kind of person who lights up a room. He is funny and full of life.
During this incredibly difficult season, Dorell and his family are carrying the weight of both profound grief and unexpected medical challenges. Your support, whether through a donation, a share of this fundraiser, or prayers for his recovery is greatly appreciated.
Every contribution brings Dorell one step closer to healing.
Thank you for your love, generosity, and support for Dorell Humphrey and our family during this difficult time.
