Dear family, friends, and community,

We are reaching out to you today during on of the most challenging chapters of our lives. Since July of 2026, my husband Chad has been battling severe, debilitating medical symptoms that have created challenges we never expected to face.

Over the past several months, we have been in and out of emergency rooms, experienced a challenging four-day hospital stay, and completed numerous tests and evaluations in search of answers. We have consulted with specialists across rheumatology, cardiology, and are now waiting on a referral to pulmonology. Chad has undergone multiple MRIs, CT scans, EEGs, echocardiograms, EKGs, and stress tests to rule out every possible cause.

While those tests successfully ruled out other conditions, all medical arrows point directly to a severe, deeply complex neurological issue. The general neurologists at the hospital have told us that his condition is so intricate it will take an entire team of medical professionals at a specialized neurology clinic to pinpoint exactly what is happening, give us a definitive diagnosis, and map out a treatment plan.

Unfortunately, those critical specialist appointments are not available until next year.

Because Chad’s symptoms are so volatile and severe, he requires intensive, 24/7 care along with multiple medications in a hopeful attempt to avoid another hospital stay. I have stepped into the role of his full-time caregiver to keep him safe at home, assist him with daily tasks and keep him on track with his medication routine, but this has unfortunately left me unemployed. We are currently facing a reality where we have absolutely zero household income.

We have already filed for disability benefits, but the approval process is lengthy and can take anywhere from 6 to 12 months. As we navigate this medical journey, the financial burden continues to grow. While I am actively searching for flexible, remote work-from-home jobs that will allow me to bring in an income while caring for Chad, we (after much prayer and seeking God's guidance) are needing a helping hand as we navigate theses changes, challenges and months ahead.

Where the Funds Will Go:

To be completely transparent about our needs, we are setting an initial goal of $20,000. Because we currently have zero household income, Your generosity will help us cover critical expenses such as:

• Basic Survival & Utilities: Buying groceries and keeping our lights, heat, and internet on so that our household remains stable, and I can actively secure a remote work-from-home position.
• Mobility & At-Home Safety Equipment: Purchasing immediate mobility aids and specialized safety gear to help Chad navigate our home safely while his physical symptoms continue to worsen.
• Insurance Premiums & Medical Bills: Keeping up with our health insurance premiums so we do not lose coverage, alongside managing the extensive out-of-pocket costs from recent ER visits, hospital stay, continuous testing, and upcoming clinic travel.
• Essential Monthly Commitments: Keeping our baseline family accounts and necessary obligations current so we do not fall into default or face severe financial penalties while navigating the 6 to 12-month disability timeline.
