As we prepare to welcome our third baby, I’ve decided to work with a doula to support me through labor and birth. My first birth was especially difficult, and I went through it without a doula — something I’ve since come to regret. That experience showed me how valuable continuous, experienced support can be during such an intense and vulnerable time.
