Hi everyone,

I am a chronically ill and disabled indigenous person who is needing to take a 12 week leave from my current job due to an acute health flare. My chronic pain and mental health have kept me from sleep, made it difficult to eat and do basic cares.

I applied to MN State Leave and I think I will be approved but I have been told it will take them 3-4 weeks to send payment, which will be reduced wages, and I have to be home unpaid until then since I needed to take leave right away.

I don't have family support or any support system other than my community and I am in the process of applying for disability certification to get some benefits but that can take a year, sometimes more.

I am doing all the things to try to take care of myself and Jess my partner is taking on more work to help but we really could use community support.

These funds will help us pay mortgage, get groceries, pay for medications, other utility bills, and other cost of living items.

I know everyone is going through it so please no sweat if you cannot donate but if you might consider sharing I would be very grateful.
