Hello, I am a firefighter that has two beautiful girls that my wife and I adopted right after they were born in 2011. We have lived in the mountains of North Carolina all of our married life. A few years ago, my wife started having health problems. Several major surgerys including a full hysterectomy, quad bypass surgery, spinal surgery and ultimately her unexpected death in January of last year as a result of a blood clot. My wife was our rock, and my love of my life. She also was the main provider for our family. I work a full time job as a firefighter but the pay is not great for what we do. It also is not much considering I am an only parent now raising two teenage girls that are in high school. My beautiful girls are very smart and are doing well in school. This money will go to help us purchase a home that will be ours. One that I will not have to pay rent on and if we are able to get the home that I am interested in, and it will not cost that much. I pay rent and I have never been late with it, I also have a vehicle payment that is my wife's car. Im just in a valley that I can't get out of. Living pay check to pay check is hard as a single parent.
