Down payment on house!!!
Hi Everyone!!
Our family is trying to move into our own house! We've been through classes that will help with part of the down payment, but with a little extra our mortgage will be a touch more manageable.
Our household has my husband (Austen), me (Emily) , our children: Dominic (11), Daniel (5), Theodore (2) and Abigail (8 months).
Plus my two older children Justin (18) and James (17) who are at their grandparents home.
Joining our household will be our friend and sons Personal Support Worker; Emslee.
She's been a amazing support.
Our children have different disabilities which can sometimes make day to day activities 1000% more difficult.
Our hope and dream is to move into a home that has enough room for everyone. As of now our current home is a 3 bedroom townhouse (915 sq ft) that we currently are paying $1090 (on lease). Rent has been raised every year since we moved in. Without a lease, it would be $1275.
W pay for garbage, water, sewer, electric, internet, so not much different than owning a home. Rent in our area has no cap and continues to rise. :(
About our family:
Austen works in retail 32-40 hours a week, he is an amazing husband and father.
I'm at home with the younger two children, partially to help with keeping bills low and mostly because I need to be on watch 24/7 for Theo.
Dominic, just turning 11. Loves Legos, Minecraft, Harry potter. Has very high anxiety and is doing testing/evaluations for OCD and Tourettes Syndrome.
Daniel (Danny), 5 yrs old, on the go! Very high activity level at all times. Loves to run and play, climb and jump. Really loves PJ Masks and Paw Patrol. Has Global developmental disabilities, ADHD ( impulsive and inattentive) , Tourette Syndrome, delayed recessive and expressive language.
Theo, 2, very sweet. Loves to "read" Loves my little pony, pj masks and pretending to be gecko.Theo is our heart warrior. He has Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Artesia and MAPCAS. He has had 3 open heart surgeries so far with more to come. <3
Abigail, 8 months. The only girl! Surprise! She is a bundle of giggles. Loved to play and laugh. Wakes up the moment she hears daddy is home.
