Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

Emily here I'm reaching out to share the story of my husband Dustin Hamrick, who is facing a challenging and urgent medical situation. Dustin has been diagnosed with his second cholesteatoma tumor.

Six years ago he was diagnosed with his first cholesteatoma tumor which caused havoc on his inner ear and hearing bones. This type of tumor ate away most of his hearing bones in the left ear and left him deaf on one side but thankfully the surgery and removal process was a success.

Recently a second tumor has been discovered that is deep within his inner ear which is eroding away his vestibular which stabilizes and controls his balance along with deteriorating surrounding bones. Currently he is unable to drive or work due to the severe dizziness and vertigo symptoms that comes with this type of tumor and the only way to prevent this from taking his coordination abilities or possibly reaching his brain is through a critical surgery to remove the tumor.

Unfortunately, the cost of this surgery with no insurance is far beyond what we can afford on our own, and we need your help. Your donation, no matter how big or small, will go directly toward covering the medical expenses, including the surgery, post-op care, and any associated costs. Every contribution brings Dustin one step closer to receiving the care he urgently need.

Dustin is a loving parent, devoted spouse, hardworking individual who has been there for others in their time of need. Now, it's our turn to give back and show our support in this time of crisis.

His surgery is scheduled for March 11, 2025 and will be performed by Dr. Robert Owens at the Southlake Surgery Center.
