EBAC Orphanage
Hello! My name is Hannah Piccirilli. I attend Villa Maria Academy, an all girls Catholic school in Erie, PA and every year a handful of students come together with a dedicated teacher to go on a mission trip to Haiti. In Haiti, the volunteers stay at an orphanage called EBAC. While there, they help to tutor and connect with the children, including planning bible studies and playing games with them. This year, I have felt a calling to go to Haiti and have been accepted to attend the trip. This will be a wonderful opportunity but, unfortunately, is not free. That is where you come in! Not everyone is able to go to Haiti themselves, but in supporting a volunteer such as myself, you are playing a huge role! The fiscal goal of this campaign will be covering my plane ticket, the food I will be eating, a passport, and appropriate clothing (to accommodate both the heat and social expectations). However, the actual goal of this campaign does so much more. Our presence in Haiti is an important support for EBAC that greatly helps them each year, and also provides an amazing and humbling spiritual experience to all the girls who take on this mission. The amount of money this campaign is trying to raise may seem daunting, but any amount you are able to contribute goes a long way! Please consider donating and remember where this money is truly going. Even if you are not able to donate at this time, sharing this with family and friends is another great way to help out. I will leave you with a Bible verse to consider from Galatians 5:13 "You, my brothers and sisters were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge in the flesh, rather, serve one another humbly in love."
