Hello Friends of the Eden Garden,

As you may know, the mission of the Eden Garden is to provide organic produce to those in need while educating the community on the benefits of growing organic. We have an awesome team of volunteers who come to the garden to plant, nurture and harvest. The bounty is then shared with the Alameda County Food Bank and the South Hayward Outreach Center where the produce is enjoyed by many families. Food banks typically receive canned and processed food, so weekly deliveries of fresh organic produce is appreciated by the patrons.

We find ourselves in need to raise funds to realign and expand the Eden Garden. We recently built a greenhouse and are in need of workbenches, irrigation parts, deer fencing and material for the raised beds. All of this work is being done with volunteers so there are no labor costs involved. We simply need funds now to realign the garden with the church's requirements and expand to the south while in the process.

The total budget is $10K, however we have had a few generous donations this last week so our new goal is $2.5K 

We are reaching out to you, our friends and family, to ask for your help. We have set up an account on this FreeFunding webpage where donations can be made, and all donations will go directly to the costs needed for the garden expansion. Any little bit you can provide is helpful and will get us closer to our goal. All donations are tax deductible under Crosswinds Church's nonprofit status.
