Hi family and friends, I am Kim, Shannon's mom, and as most of you know my Adams Run family has been hit pretty hard as a result of the storm named Debby and the opening of the dam upriver to prevent further disaster. This has been called a 1000 year flood, nothing like this has been seen in our lifetime. But disaster was not averted and the community on Parkers Ferry Road was dealt a devastating blow. Homes and properties have been flooded, people and animals have been affected and displaced. My daughter and son-in-law, five dogs and two horses have found their beautiful house and barn unlivable and under water. Appliances are destroyed, floors in the home (at the very minimum) have to be completely replaced, and it will take some time to find out what other possessions have been lost. Shannon and Ken will be staying in a borrowed RV on the property during reconstruction. They have a neighbor who is a contractor that will do the required repair work. God has provided! I am starting this fundraiser to help with incidentals and other replacement items. Any amount is greatly appreciated and so are prayers. We will keep yall updated as the progress continues until the final reveal!!
