My name is Melissa Ard. I recently changed careers to become a teacher. I worked successfully  in the business world for 25 years and raised two children. I made a lot of people rich but never felt like I was contributing to the betterment of society. After divorcing in 2013 I knew it was time to make a change. I am going through an altwrnative licensure program in SC but know I need more education in order to be the teacher my students deserve. I teach Career and Technology Educatuon and work closely with our graduating class. A lot of my time is spent helping them with choosing careers and colleges. I realize my calling is to be a guidance counselor but for that I need my Master's. As an educator at a Totle 1 school all extra money goes back into my classroom. I am asking for money to help with my education.  I already have two daughters in college and the am maxed out on what I can afford. Any help would be greatly appreciated and would be used to allow me to continue helping tomorrow's leaders thrive. I believe investing in today's youth will bring profit all of our futures.
