Hello friends! A lot of you know I took this Winter off from work to really dive into my music and begin professionally recording my most recent batch of songs for a new “band” project I have called Eius Bius. The first five songs were recorded/mixed here in Louisville with me playing all the instruments/vox at Lalaland in Dec/Jan and I luckily was able to personally finance it.

A month or so before we began, I had also been in talks with a studio in Boston, Mass (Plaid Dog Recording) that specializes in crowd funding campaigns for artists. They evaluated my remaining project (3-4 more songs) would be a $9000 campaign if I were to run it through them. Yikes, right? At first I was timidly in and was able to get pre-pledges from eight close friends and family members totaling $1850! However, before I signed the contract and after much consideration, I decided it made the most sense for several reasons to keep any future $$$ raised local and to finish the project here at Lalaland! The most important element to doing it this way is that instead of needing to raise $7150 more to get to 9K, with the $1850 already raised, I'm now only $3100 away from my goal ($4950) by keeping the project here in Louisville! One of the other benefits of continuing to finish the project with Lalaland engineer, Anne Gauthier, is the sound cohesion the project will have since it will have all been recorded/mixed by the same person at the same studio. In addition, with the two weeks (2/19-2/23 + 2/26-3/1) scheduled at Lalaland coming up, I'll have most if not all of the album finished by March 1st compared to having to take off 9-10 *more* days of work at the end of April to do the project in Boston. A no-brainer for sure!

The first song/video I plan to release is called “Ode to Seany” and it is a tribute to my amazing brother, Sean, who passed away tragically last March. It's already been recorded and my plan is to put it out sometime around the one year mark of his death, March 19th.
