I am writing this on behalf of my Grandparents as this is a hard process to experience all while trying to navigate technology.

In 2022, My grandparents moved into a home in Summerlin, Nevada. The home initially was beautiful until the winter season began to approach. My grandmother who has severe asthma, was put in a home that did not have proper heating which then landed her into the hospital. My grandpa would have to take off days of work in order to check on her well being which further effected their income. She remained in the hospital for some time before she was able to be sent home.

Once home, she contacted their landlord to discuss compensation for her medical bills as well as informing her that this matter would have to be taken to court. Opposed to reaching an agreement, The Landlord began the process of trying to remove them from the home. Various NRS codes are in violation which would make this a simple court case, however my grandparents are on a fixed income and are not able to fund this process. They are being harassed with eviction notices and are just being made to feel uncomfortable. My grandparents have always made their rental payments on time and in full leading up to this.

Furthermore, the deposit that they gave the landlord is being withheld in order for them to move and leave this situation behind. So they are essentially stuck, which is why I am writing this. The money that is being asked for, is for them to be able to go ahead and just relocate and cut ties with their current landlord.
