Emergency Rescue Surgery
I rescued this horse off of the racetrack last month, and less than three days after arriving here in California to her forever home, she displayed severe colic signs and needed to have emergency surgery performed for a nephrosplenic entrapment (displaced large colon).
We are two weeks post-op, and she has developed multiple complications with recurring fevers, returning colic symptoms, and severe ulcers but continues fighting every day. With the surgery, medications, an extended hospital stay, and additional testing and care needed, the vet bills are astronomical and have reached nearly $24,000.
If she keeps fighting, all I can do is my best to fight every day to bring her home and help find the funds for her care. Please help us bring her home. Please help her fight.
