I never imagined I would be in this position. On September 24, 2025, I was seriously injured at work, tearing multiple ligaments in my right knee and losing my ability to drive. I followed every rule, attended every appointment, and relied on workers’ compensation for transportation. My surgery was scheduled for December 19, but less than 24 hours before, I was told transportation would not be provided. With no one to call at the last minute, I was forced to reschedule.

Because of this, my benefits were abruptly cut off, leaving me without income since December 19. I am now facing eviction with my three young children and nowhere to go. I’ve always been our sole provider, and this has been devastating emotionally and financially.
