Hello,

Im writing this with nothing but hope and desperation in my heart. I never imagined Id be in a place

where Id have to ask strangers for help just to survive, but here I am. My name is Andrew, Im 40

years old, and I am currently homeless. Three weeks ago, my truck was stolen. That truck wasnt

just transportationit was my home, my storage, my independence. It was everything. Losing it left

me completely exposed, sleeping outside with no roof over my head, no access to jobs, medical

care, or even food.

For the last few years, Ive been recovering from a terrible accident that broke my neck, back,

collarbones, ribs, and jaw. Just as I was beginning to walk again after a long recovery, I broke my

leg. Ive fought hard to heal, physically and emotionally, and I was just starting to get back on my

feet. But now, without a vehicle or any safe place to go, everything has come crashing down again.

Right now, I have no income. Ive applied for Social Security Disability (SSI), but I was told it could

take up to 265 days or more for a decision. Thats a long time to wait when youre sleeping outside

and have nowhere to go. Ive tried everything I can to stay afloat, but I am at the end of my rope. Ive

lost everything except my determination to survive and build a better life
