Help Me Regain My Independence: An Enclosed Mobility Scooter for My Service Dog & Me

Hi everyone,

I am reaching out to my community to ask for help in raising funds for an enclosed mobility scooter.

Living with POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome) and hEDS (hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome) means my body struggles constantly with severe fatigue, joint instability, dizziness, and fainting spells. On top of my physical conditions, managing PTSD makes navigating public spaces incredibly challenging.

Thankfully, I am not alone—I have my wonderful white Husky service dog by my side. He provides vital assistance and comfort, but our ability to get around safely is severely limited right now.

Because of my conditions, a standard open scooter or walking long distances isn't safe or sustainable. An enclosed mobility scooter would be an absolute life-changer for us. It would provide:

• Medical Safety: A stable, seated way to travel without triggering dangerous POTS spikes or hEDS joint dislocations.
• Weather & Environmental Protection: A fully enclosed cabin to protect both me and my Husky service dog from harsh weather, which heavily triggers my PTSD and physical symptoms.
• True Independence: The ability to safely go to medical appointments, get groceries, and exercise my service dog without relying on others.

I am currently on SSI (Supplemental Security Income), which covers my basic survival needs but leaves absolutely no room to save up for major medical and independence equipment like this.
