In February 2024, my life changed with the discovery of several inappropriate text messages between my husband and a random woman. Leading me to discover more women he’d been with through our entire 13 year marriage. My filing for divorce that May escalated an already established pattern of abuse. When I wouldn’t back down with the divorce, he started threatening, and stalking me. He used manipulative tactics using my child in order to get information from me, and when I wouldn’t comply, he threatened me more. I fled my home, and was awarded a restraining order. In retaliation, he fired me from the company that I helped establish and grow for 14 years, he cut me out of all the bank accounts, took both vehicles, and left me with nothing. I’ve been doing my best to survive on my savings for over 2 years as I navigate through the family court system. I’m working diligently to earn enough money through my new company, and selling my personal possessions to afford a lawyer, but I can’t keep up. That is why I am here asking my friends and family for help. I realize times are tough for everyone right now.
