Eric Stevens hip surgery
Hi! I hope y'all are having a stellar week!
I am writing you in hopes that you might be able to help a man who is not only my best friend, a local of VB for over 40yrs, but is also one of the BEST flooring installers of the 757 and the East Coast.. Eric Stevens.
I got a very sombering message from him at 8am this morning, letting me know that he has the worst kind of Arthritis in his hip causing complete depletion of all cartilage to where its now just bone grinding on bone. Decades of doing flooring has taken its toll on him, and while he can get a shot to numb it for a few weeks-couple months.. he will inevitably need hip surgery that will cost him $18K+.
The thing about Eric is, he has always put others before himself. And if you have ever lived in a condo, stayed in a hotel at the Oceanfront, or even visited local doctors offices around Hampton Roads... he more than likely did the flooring in that building. Its his passion, his artform, his niche, and his livelihood.
Having to get hip surgery done will likely have him out of work for several months, leading him to struggle to keep up with the bills and mortgage of his childhood home that was left to him by his deceased mother, Gwen Stevens (a local art teacher of VB for decades).
As Erics best friend.. I just have to TRY. I now live in Delaware.. but friendship knows no time, distance, or bounds. So I am reaching out to the community he loves and has helped for so long in hopes that we might be able to give him hope, lift him up, give him support, and help him in some way!
.. how can we make this happen?!!
I'd love to see him get the help, support, and surgery that he needs so he can continue doing what he loves for the community he loves!!
Thank you so very much for your consideration!

Please share with whomever you can so we can help Eric get the surgery he needs! 💙🙏
