I don't like asking for help, but we are in dire need. Last year Andy lost his job in the service industry like many people around the world. It was several months before he was able to find a much lower paying job at the local grocery store. Shortly after starting his new job, I tested positive for covid-19. I was very lucky that I had a mild case. We were both off work for 14 days for quarantine. Six weeks later, Andy tested positive for covid-19 and he was not so lucky. He missed many hours and days due to the illness. In December I had knee surgery and was off work for six weeks. I am still in physical therapy. I had only been back to work for a short time when Andy started showing medical issues. We did not know what was wrong but he was missing more and more work. After two emergency room visits he was finally admitted to the hospital. Six days later he had to have major spinal surgery. He is now home from the hospital and recovering, but he will be off work with intensive physical therapy for a minimum of three months. With all the missed wages and the rising use of credit to survive and all the incoming medical bills, we are sinking rather quickly. Our families are helping as much as possible but we are still failing. Due to the nature of his surgery, Andy is not able to be at home alone. Family members are assisting with staying with us so that I may continue to work, but at great expense with fuel costs from traveling. We are in severe need of help to pay the cost of living along with the incoming medical bills and getting our credit back under control. Every penny helps. Thank you in advance for any help.
