have been trapped in domestic abuse cycle for 15 years with no means to escape. Prohibited from owning vehicle, obtaining employment or having personal saving of any kind. Completely isolated and prohibited from meaningful relationships with peers, friends or family. Any attempt to disrupt or disobey is putting myself at risk. Resources for women like myself without children are extremely limited. Need to obtain just enough money to get permanent housing (not shelter) in order to be employed. I hope to find something with 2 or more bedrooms in order to help other women in my situation get on their own two feet and then have them do the same for others. I have exhausted all options. Donations aside I at least want to express to others (women especially) to look out for one another, be team mates not competitors. So many of us are so embarrassed to have let this happen they submit to their situation feeling there’s no point. Please look out for each other, someone being hurt may suffer in silence but they suffer none the less.
