I’m a single mother of two, and I’m reaching out because my family is going through a really difficult financial situation right now.

I lost my job in August, and since then I’ve been doing everything I can to get back on my feet. I’ve been consistently applying for jobs because I know I need to get back to work and provide for my children. Unfortunately, I was also denied unemployment, which has made an already difficult situation even harder.

While I continue searching for employment, I’ve fallen behind on my rent. I currently have a past due balance of $3,101, and I have until October 11 to get this balance taken care of before my housing situation moves into the next stage of the eviction process.

My children and I need our home, and I’m doing everything within my power to keep it. I’m not asking for help because I’m not trying. I’m actively looking for work, applying to jobs, and trying every resource available to me. I just need some help getting through this period while I work toward getting stable income again.
