Facing Foreclosure
After 1 full year of unexpected unemployment, my financial safety net has completely run out. My credit cards are maxed out from covering basic necessities and I am now facing the very real and immediate risk of losing my home to foreclosure.
I have spent months actively searching for work, filling out applications daily and cutting every possible expense. Despite my best efforts, the gap between losing my income and finding a new stable role has put me in an emergency situation. I have a 5yr old here at home who depends on me.
What the Funds Will Be Used For: I am setting a goal of $20,000 to act as an emergency bridge to keep me safe and housed over the next 30 to 60 days while I finalize my employment search and wait for emergency assistance programs to process. Every single dollar raised will go directly toward:
- Immediate mortgage arrears to prevent foreclosure.
- Paying past-due utility bills (power, water, internet for job searching) to prevent shut-offs.
- Basic living essentials like groceries and critical transportation costs.
How You Can Help:
- Donate: If you are in a position to give, even $5 or $10 makes a massive difference in keeping a roof over my head this month.
- Share: If you cannot donate, please consider sharing this link with your network, your community groups, or on your social media. A simple share helps more than you know.
Asking for help like this is incredibly humbling, but I am at a point where I cannot do this alone. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness, your shares and your support during this difficult time.
With gratitude,
Sacha
