I am setting this fundraiser up to help local children who are removed from their parents and placed with relatives unexpectedly. I have recently been through this same thing with more than 2 children being placed with me with no notice. The financial responsibility from going from small family to larger family. The unexpected extra expenses of babysitters, diapers, clothing, food, remodeling to make bedrooms, beds, etc. It opened my eyes to how many children and families go through this and how if not financially stable, could set a family back and the last concern they should have is money issues when dealing with alot of times trauma. Their focus should be on the children and helping them cope with the new situation.
