My family and I are facing homelessness. In March of 2026 my partner, Jacob, took on a new job because his previous one required him to be away from home for weeks at a time. Seeing we have 2 kids under 3, and we have no family to help us with childcare, he decided to take a leap of faith with the new job and come home to help me. One week into the job, the employer refused to give Jake his tax information and then after that they said his services were no longer needed. He spent weeks doing gigs and driving for uber until he found another job but what he made wasn’t enough. He has since found a new job that pays enough for us to survive, however, we are now 2 months behind on all of our bills. Our mortgage company has no options for us and is threatening foreclosure, and our utility providers are threatening to shut off the gas and electric. Our two babies, Finn and Luna, need this. We don’t like asking for help but this is our last ditch effort to save us from homelessness.
