The  little girl you see in the photo is my daughter and it feels like years since I've seen her this happy and without all the concerns of today. Two years ago she was diagnosed with major depression and borderline personality disorder. All her life she's struggled with ADHD which has attributed to her difficulty maintaining friendships and often times being both ostracized and bullied. Once puberty hit she started attempting suicide anyway she can. She has been admitted into numerous inpatient facilities but stays only as long as insurance allows and she's not getting better. Her medical bills have reached over a hundred thousand dollars and we are doing all we can to get her the help we can, but we are constrained by our earnings. We have tried medically emanicipating her to no avail. Doing so would allow her care under Medicaid. There is another option however in the form of a therapy school and it's a robust two year program. We don't qualify for enough financial aid or loans to even begin to get her in and we don't want our child to die. If anyone is not familiar with Timothy's Law started in New York, I encourage you to look it up. That law started because parents just like us tried to help their son but time ran out and he took his life because his parents could not afford his care. At this point we can only do all we can and we realize we are falling short. Please help us in this endeavor to care for our child.
