Hi everyone, my name is Dana and this is my first time doing this. So please bare with me. As a mother and a woman, this is very embarrassing and uncomfortable for me but for my kids, I will do whatever to better them. A brief story. I'm a single mother of 4 beautiful smart kids. As well as an online student at SNHU (Southern New Hampshire University) majoring in Criminal Justice. Which is hard to do when going through the situation that we're going through. I'm barely passing. But I refuse to give up because I know this is the only way to help us in the long run to never have to go through this again. My kids are the reason I wake up and push myself every day striving to be a better me for them. Ever since Covid, we lost EVERYTHING! We've slept on "family " couches, and floors. Slept on building rooftops and even on subways. We had no other choices because when all our savings were gone and we had no more money the people we called "family" told us we had to go. We lost all documentation (IDs, birth certificates, socials) so getting help or finding work was not an option. Currently, we rent a room from someone I met in their apartment. Sometimes the kids will stay with friends overnight because it's tight with 5 people sleeping in one room. I go out every day with a broom and dustpan, windex, and paper towels. Went from door to door looking for work to pay our room's daily rent of $70. I've done this for 2 years straight now, and I finally built the courage to ask for help. I struggle to put food on the table daily. There are many nights when I won't eat to make sure the kids have SOMETHING. Please if ANYONE can help me and my family it would be a blessing. Next month is my and my 2 daughters' birthdays mine is July 13th my baby girl is July 14th and my oldest is July 24th. And sadly I can't even think about that because my focus is to keep a roof over their heads. Please if ANYONE can help!! Thank you! From my family to yours!!
