Family In Need
Hello, my name is Leslie. I am seeking help for my daughter and her family. Our son-in-law had open heart surgery in March, and he is still having problems with Afib. My daughter has been in the hospital for a month due to an incarcerated hernia and a hole in her intestines.
Amanda and Wayne have always been there for others. If someone was in need, they did not hesitate to jump in and help. Now they are in desperate need. As much as they want to come home, it is not feasible at this point in time.
Wayne is trying to get a job, even though he is still having issues with his Afib, and Amanda hasn't been cleared by the doctor to return to work yet. In the meantime, they are about to lose their house, which they worked hard for, as well as their vehicles. They still have children (a son and two daughters) who depend on them. Our grandson works for McDonald's and helps pay the bills as much as he can. Our oldest granddaughter just came home from college for the summer and has applied to PetSmart to help with the bills, and our youngest granddaughter is still in school and likes to play softball. Currently, she is in the All-Stars.
I was always raised to believe family helps family, no matter what. I don't know what has changed through the generations, but you don't find this anymore. Family doesn't know family any longer, and it is sad to me. We have to do better. I'm not asking for a lot. If all our family and friends could each contribute $5 or $10, it would help so they don't lose their house and cars. I know Amanda and Wayne do not like going public like this and asking for help. I would like to thank those who can help in advance. If you are unable to help financially, then please send up prayers for them. We believe in the power of prayer. Again, thank you in advance.
