In 2024, our family survived a major car accident, which took a heavy physical and financial toll on us. Just as we were recovering in 2025, we tried to help a family in need by welcoming them into our home. Unfortunately, that kindness backfired—they disappeared without paying their share, leaving us burdened with over $3,000 in unexpected debt and unpaid bills.

Absorbing that debt pushed us to the brink, ultimately leading to the repossession of my wife’s vehicle. My wife homeschools our kids, and without transportation, it has become nearly impossible to pick up educational supplies, reach appointments, or give the kids a chance to get out of the house. Being stuck at home is taking a real toll on them.
