Farm to Church goes beyond transforming local economies and promoting healthy food access. We recognize the untapped potential of church lands that often go unused. Our initiative aims to convert these underutilized spaces into thriving community gardens, micro farms and food forests - leveraging sustainable farming practices and promoting biodiversity. To further enhance our environmental impact, we integrate renewable energy and water reclamation solutions into these church spaces, creating a model of sustainability and cost saving solutions.

Additionally, we embark on a job-building mission, providing employment opportunities for local farmers, veterans and educators. By employing farmers to cultivate these church lands and teachers to lead educational programs, we contribute not only to the growth of the agricultural sector but also to the dissemination of valuable knowledge within the community. Together, these elements form a holistic approach that not only improves access to healthy foods but also creates a sustainable and resilient community.

The objective is to enlist churches as direct partners in the FAB Farm program. A directory will be established to link the community with participating organizations. This connection allows individuals to use Fresh Access Buck benefits through the Feeding Florida organization, enabling them to access and purchase CSA offerings. This strategic alliance not only expands the availability of fresh, locally sourced food but also enhances quality of life and health within food insecure communities.

We recognize the healing qualities of green spaces for mental health, understanding the significant benefits these spaces provide for community members. By integrating green spaces into church lands, the initiative aims to create environments that promote mental well-being, offering a peaceful and nurturing setting for individuals to connect with nature and find solace.
