Please Help Keep Pyewacket & I Housed! I am fighting an illegal eviction! But since I continued to pay every penny of rent with Savings during the 6-9 months of the Pandemic when massage therapists could not legally work & during my Retinal Detachment of December 3, 2020 to January 8, 2021, & because the entire city of Los Angeles is being EVICTED Simultaneously RIGHT NOW after Covid restrictions were lifted, I was UNABLE to secure ANY HELP from a single Tenant's Rights Non Profit, as they are INUNDATED! They never even returned my calls until my complaint dates were upon ME & I had been forced to retain a $500 per hour attorney! I have ALREADY paid $4,500 since hiring them on 6/15/23 & just received another bill for $2,013.25 Due by 8/9/23. Of course, the Stress & fear of becoming one of the many homeless Seniors in LA has made me 1st have Laryngitis for 14 Days, then contract my FIRST EVER Covid-19 infection on 6/28/23 keeping me from working when I could least afford it. The Thing IS, that if I can make it to the inside of an Eviction Court I will very LIKELY win my case & be allowed to stay in my home since October 1995. I'm just COMPLETELY OUT OF MONEY. I am literally eating ONLY what is already in my pantry to keep paying my legal fees. I am SO embarrassed & Sorry to have to Ask for Help, AGAIN so soon after needing help to pay for my uncovered Cataract surgery in August of 2020. But I honestly Don't know what else to do. Any amount you can spare would be helpful to me at this time. I sincerely wish I could do something else, but I'm barely making my rent & bills right now. I already minimized every Bill I could drop since I hired an attorney, including cable. Thank the goddess my Disney pass is paid off until March 2024, I have a wallet full of pre paid movie tickets (because I am so frugal) & I Love taking Peanut Butter & Jam sandwiches to Disneyland, otherwise I would never be able to leave the house or have any fun.
