Fighting bladder cancer

Our loved one Joshua Towns was diagnosed with a RARE bladder cancer on September 9. 2026.

Squamous cell bladder cancer is uncommon/rare and accounts for approximately only 3 to 5 percent of all cases of bladder cancer. His case is within 1%. It is currently so advanced and aggressive that it CANNOT be treated with chemotherapy or radiation.

HELP Josh FIGHT

He will need a "cystectomy" bladder removal as well as bladder reconstructions surgery.

He needs to undergo surgery ASAP and unfortunately all cost are not covered BLADDER CANCER.

Any support, prayers, shares, or good energy sent our way means the world to our family right now.

UPDATE:

We are 12 days post Surgery and I am happy to say Josh is home and out of the hospital. Unfortunately, the biopsy results are back and the cancer is continuing to attack his body.

We are continuing to ask for prayers, donations, and support. Medical necessity is high.

Ostomy Supplies Following Bladder Removal Due to Bladder Cancer has an array of expenses.

Ostomy supplies are medically necessary for Joshuas ongoing management of needs.

Following removal of the bladder, Joshua no longer has the ability to store and eliminate urine through the normal urinary pathway. Supplies are essential for collecting and containing urine, protecting the skin surrounding the stoma, maintaining hygiene, and preventing urine leakage.

The required supplies may include urostomy pouches, skin barriers, wafers, barrier rings, drainage bags, and other accessories prescribed according to the patient's individual needs. These products are necessary to maintain an effective seal, reduce exposure of the surrounding skin to urine, minimize the risk of skin irritation and breakdown, and support safe, consistent management of urinary drainage.

An adequate and uninterrupted supply of these medically necessary products is essential for Josh's ongoing postoperative care, personal hygiene, comfort, dignity, and quality of life. Insufficient access to appropriate supplies may increase the risk of leakage, skin complications, and avoidable medical interventions.
