As many of you already know we recently received heartbreaking news concerning Shyra‘s health, she was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of ovarian cancer that has spread to the lining of her abdomen and metastasized. The oncologist initially recommended surgery to retrieve lymphatic tissue to test & indicate what stage the cancer is at. However, in just the space of a few weeks another tumor began to form in her abdomen beneath her belly button & continued to grow until it was protruding outward & causing fluid and blood to seep from her belly button. After seeing the oncologist to investigate further, he pressed her to begin chemotherapy as soon as possible due to the severity, likely stage 3 or 4. With how fast the cancer is spreading he advised she begin chemo immediately as it is unsafe to surgically remove the tumor due to its size, Shyra began chemotherapy on Thursday. She is so blown away & in awe by the generosity of everyone who donated on the previous campaign and wants to thank everyone from the bottom of her heart. Due to the seriousness and aggression of the cancer her life is still at stake and it's going to be a lengthy road to fight & recover with both Western medicine and holistic integrative medicine to combat and alleviate the side effects of the chemotherapy.
