I am helping my daughter fight for the safety of my grandchildren. This is the second restraining order she has had to get, and the divorce already cost her over a year’s worth of legal fees. Now she is back in court because their father cannot stay clean and sober during his time with the children. Her intentions are not to remove him from their lives, but to establish supervised, sober, and safe visits so the kids can still have a relationship with their father without being put at risk. We have tapped out all of our resources, and I have never put a fundraiser out there before — but this situation has left us with no other choice. Every dollar raised will go directly toward legal fees so my daughter can protect her kids, secure custody, and provide them with the stable home they deserve.
