Hello! I'm a single mother with two teenage daughters! To be honest I never dreamed we'd make it this far and I'm both relieved and scared! To explain my situation, I'm a domestic violence survivor. Just recently I was able to finally get my children and I out of danger. I was with my ex for a little over 6 years and looking back im embarrassed to say I missed red flags in the beginning and failed to leave early on when I had the chance. Our relationship quickly became a situation where I became isolated, was made to quit working and eventually barred from leave the house all together. More than anything, its very hard for me to know that exposed my children to this life and failed to protect them from what they witnessed.

I was able to escape through months of planning and some help from people I hardly knew. I'm getting my children mental health help, one of the first things I did.

We are staying with a very old friend, in a new state and in a safe place. But unfortunately it is not a situation where we can stay for a long time. Or to be honest much longer. I'm currently working but my hours are few and I'm looking for a second job. Because everything was in his name and through his credit I have no credit or rental history that matters, so everything is top dollar, security deposits, move in costs, insurance even an auto loan I briefly looked. I am just trying to get some help with move in and a bed for my girls, also clothes for them. Both my girls have maintained honors throughout everything and I just want to give them more.
