JOIN us in our SEARCH and RESCUE (and RECOVERY) mission/endeavor for our beloved 'prodigal' brother [wink, wink ;-)], Daren -- homeless in LA and in need of medical care! Siblings making a trip from Utah to search for Daren's beautiful face among the homeless in the Santa Monica area and get him the care he needs! And hopefully much more.

Now it gets real... Daren is truly an uncommonly gifted person with a gigantic soul, who has struggled and suffered immensely with Complex PTSD (from severe childhood trauma), schizophrenia, drug addiction, and many harsh and destitute years of living on the streets -- stuck in patterns that he doesn't know how to get himself unstuck from on his own as a result of these tremendous difficulties, begging merciful intervention. 

Last spring we learned that Daren had a seriously infected wound threatening to advance into a life-threatening systemic infection, which we understand has still not been taken care of (...we're amazed that he's still alive and that he still has his arm!). We intend to find Daren, assist him in getting any medical care he may need -- and most importantly -- nurture acceptance, connection, hope, and trust, with full intent to actively participate (along with a loving God of Miracles) in creating and preparing every needful thing for Daren's actual healing and recovery. This is our ultimate goal! And in the meantime, until Daren and the resources we have planned for his recovery are ready, we will also be making sure he has any important provisions he may currently be in need of, such as a warm coat and sleeping bag!

We've learned of a number of uniquely effective means/methods/technologies for actually correcting and healing the (otherwise lasting) profoundly debilitating effects of trauma on the brain (and subsequently, the nervous system, the body, and the PERSON), and we truly believe that this healing and recovery miracle can happen for our dear brother! God willing, let now finally be the time for his years of indescribable suffering to come to an end! (And then, perhaps this recovery mission/endeavor which originally began for Daren's sake might even evolve into something to help others like him.)

Miracles have -- and require -- two necessary parts: OUR PART (determined action -- such as planting a seed and watering it, for example, or stepping into the waters of the Red Sea), and GOD'S PART (Divine Power -- to make that seed actually grow and bear fruit, or to part the sea and make a path for captives to cross over, as with the Children of Israel).

How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray?
