My husband, daughter and I recently moved to my family's property because we were going through some financial difficulties. I still owned the house and property that we moved from and we were using it for storage, and I was letting a good friend store belongings there as well. On March 21, 2026, someone intentionally set my house on fire, resulting in a total loss. The police are still trying to figure out who is responsible for starting the fire. Then, as if things weren't bad enough, on March 25, 2026, I received a message from a former neighbor stating that my car, that was parked along the street at my house that had just been destroyed by arson, was gone. The following day, I discovered that another former neighbor had my car illegally towed and taken to the scrap yard. I didn't have homeowners insurance, because I never thought something like this would happen to me, and there was no insurance on the car because it was being sold.

My husband works a full time job, but we live paycheck to paycheck. I have already been in contact with the county and state offices regarding funding for demolition of the house, but there are no grants available.

Now, we have to demolish the home we started our lives in and raised our family in, or face being fined by the county. Please help me. I don't know what else to do.
