At the age my wife and I are at the hardest thing is to ask for help . My wife and I are 43 years old married for 10 years + and have struggled as so many others in this new world we find ourselves in. We have a total combined 9 children and 1 grandchild. We don’t get any assistance, or food stamps nor do we have any insurance at this time. I’m an out of work concrete finisher and this time of the year is horrifying for us. It’s been our worst year in over 12 years. I find myself failing my family and pretending everything is gona be ok to the kids and my wife is heartbreaking. We are very simple family and we humbly live within our means. We only can afford to rent cause we never established credit . Never got to go to any college. I’m underpaid tremendously and never had employment that had 401k or anything of the such. My wife’s 2005 pacific has completely fallen to its death. And our last alternative car I saved up all summer to be able to put up $9000 down on it so that at least 1 high interest bank would give me a loan for it just four months ago. I wouldnt have ever imagined that I would be laid of the following week. After filling for unemployment thinking everything was gona be ok I quickly found out I would be wrong. Last winter I didn’t pay in very much in the quarters I drawl from and got cut down to $330 a week . My wife is full time mom and care giver to her mom who is a stroke survivor . She makes $140 for that and $120 for cleaning once a month. Our rent was just raised but bless GOD it’s only $600 a month . It’s actually a 2 bedroom house but we have made makeshift walls to accommodate and make more rooms . If we can somehow stay above water till my primary job picks back up I can survive and slide past the failure that has its grips on us. With the food cost and the head count we have it’s impossible to even live . Our rent house we have been in for thease 10 years is old and power bill is $460 month average and land lord is now looking to evict us next month. Our used car we financed is 2 months currently behind as well , and insurance for it will expire in 2 weeks . All we can do is prey The all Mighty GOD will provide what we need in thease dark days till weather breaks and I can work again. We are a regular Midwest family that always works and don’t get assistance. We shop at Aldi’s grocery and Goodwill store and always have and probably always will and we’re perfectly happy with that. I’m just grateful for my wife and family. What we do you have. And everything we’ve received. I fear this call for help may have come too late, but I trust in the universe to my Lord and Savior that we will be showed the way .
