Food & Funds Drive
Due to the federal shutdown, the funds that keep programs like SNAP running have been cut off. This has left many families in fear and uncertainty of where they will be able to access their food, as well as put strain on already overworked and underfunded food banks. To help combat this stress, youth and community members from around King and Pierce Counties have come together to raise money and food donations to support four different foodbanks in both counties!
The four foodbanks we are looking to support include:
- North Helpline- located in North Seattle and supporting the Bitter Lake (near Aurora Avenue), as well as the Lake City neighborhoods.
- Rainier Valley Food Bank- located in South Seattle and supporting the Rainier Beach neighborhood.
- St. Leo Food Connection- located in Central Tacoma and supporting the Hilltop neighborhood.
- Eloise's Cooking Pot- located near and supporting both South and Eastside Tacoma.
In times like these, it is as important as ever that we support our friends, our neighbors, and our communities wherever possible.
We are grateful for your time, and your support! Any donation is appreciated, and if you are not in a position to be able to support financially, we also appreciate the sharing of this drive with friends and family.
Thank you!
